I'm in need of a farrier to do some work with a horse with a fractured pedal bone in the Woking/Guildford area. I have had a few suggestions and are following them up but time is of the essence as the horse is due for a reset now and we're also trying to co-ordinate x-rays so I may be limited by availability as much as anything. (There isn't a problem with the horse, it's just that his regular farrier can't do him right now and because of his situation I'd like to find someone very experienced who is also comfortable communicating with the vet.)

Thoughts? If anyone has particular recommendations or warnings could they PM me, please.
 
Morten Allpass was recommended by my vet and has sorted out our lads foot balance. On time, reliable and good with the horse. Not overpriced either:)

Personally I'd recommend Jake Gregory - I know my vet also recommends him highly and I've seen some unbelievable results from his work - I wouldn't use anyone else and trust him 110% which is so important to me when choosing someone to work with my babies :)

I to would recommend Jake Gregory, he's not only a good farrier but he's also utra reliable and good with the horses as well as being totally capable of remedial stuff and obviously working with the vet.
 
Thank-you very much, everyone, it's been a great help. I think I've sourced someone through my vet's recommendation for now but will keep everyone's suggestions on file. Fingers crossed the horse gets sorted soon! :)
