Remember the 2yo, grey, £500 Arab?

I hope he has a good home { wonder if its any one on here} my husband wanted me to phone about him but im the type of person that needs to give every thing a good thinking over. plus ive seen another youngster on AL that has court my eye.
Pip i have black arab by AH Kuda.

I really hope that he's happy in his new home. If the new owner reads this, it would be really wonderful if you could let us know how he settles in with you. :)

I don't like Arabs but he's certainly got presence!

He'd make someone a fantastic bargain, hopefully he'll have a more permanent and knowledgeable home this time :)

he looks so skinny :(

I saw a grey arab for 500 too on preloved, i assume thats the same?
shame hes so far away otherwise my auntie would probably have liked him.

The socks look the same, however it says that they bought him for £1k. Both ad1 and ad2 had him priced at £500.
2 Year Old Arab Gelding
Pure bred Arab gelding Steel grey, excellent breeding, floating action, stunning looking. To make 14.3hh-15hh. Just turned 2 in June.
Passport and reg with Arab Horse Society. Picks feet up, great with other horses, not nasty at all.
Sad sale due to unforeseen family circumstances. Was bought for £1000 off breeder 3 weeks ago, quick sale needed.
Price: £400 no offers

The mobile numbers in ad 2 and ad 3 are different. It's pretty odd if it is the same horse (which looks likely from the photos :( ).

were they both in the same sort of area?
Def the same horse imo, same white socks on the right legs.
How sad though? I wonder if its his price just attracting the wrong sort of owners or theres something not quite right about him, though tbh I'm not suprised the amount of times hes been passed around so far he must be so confused... :(

I just had a look and the one I can see for £500 is a 5 yr old stallion on the Isle of Wight, so not the same one if that's the one you saw.

Faracat, he does look like the same one.

yeah must of been, I think it was a stallion now I come to think of it, I didn't really have a look just remember a cheap grey arab - so just assumed it was this one too.

I think that you are right. We know that the first purchaser bought him as a pet after all.

Recently my 2yo scared my very experienced friend so much that she had to leave the field. She has owned TB's, but the arab just threw her and he didn't do anything other than be a poncy twit - all the 'snort and blow' is just bravado. It really made me see how, in the wrong hands, a horse like that can really frighten someone (and the someone isn't a novice).

I'm going to send the vendor an e-mail to ask abt his breeding. He's in N Wales tho. At least 4 hrs away from me. I"ll keep you updated. No, I don't need/want another Arab, but can't stand by and watch another of this beautiful breed being passed from place tp place.

Poor little chap, certainly does look to have lost weight when you look at the 2 photos.

I wonder if there is any chance he could be returned to his breeder, since he has only just left them?

Oh i dont want to be reading this, when he was "sold" a few weeks ago, could the person that bought him now be selling him?
I would have thought the original breeders would have bought him back,

I hate to say this, but the continual reselling indictates that's he has some sort of serious problem. I suspect it's vetinary and very expensive. It's a terrible shame for the poor little fella, bu it would be a big risk to buy him.

Even though a horse is cheap - it's always wise to get it vetted.

It's possible that he has a problem.

The breeder apparently said that he was a bit shy.

I still think that the most likely problem is that he was bought by people who saw a cheap, pretty, youngster and overhorsed themselves.

Sorry guys, I failed once again to win the lottery or I would have him in a heartbeat:(

He could roam free on that island I was planning on buying...

poor chap if it is the same one:( so many 'homes' in such a short space of time it would be no surprise if he now has some trust issues if he was already a shy type.
Oh if only i had won more than £2 on the euro millions! i don't have a great love of arabs but no youngster deserves to have such an unsettled start:(

Ha, I suspect its more likely to be stupid humans, don't condemn this poor horse because he has had the misfortune not to be bought by a decent person.

I couldnt help myself,;) im just drawn to him, ive emailed the seller asking her what his issues are { and for more pictures} so i hope she will be honest about him. {what have i done :eek::)}
