Well they have made fantastic progress. Breitlingh still has her, what we call dragon moments, but she is coming on in leaps and bounds. They rode their first dressage competitions since October last year ( those are best forgotten!) on Monday evening and this evening and have 3 x 2nd's and a 1st place plus 5 points towards the next level. Best marks tonight with 63% and 65% but all 4 tests where over 60%.
Gushing mummy moment! :p:p
Very proud of what they have achieved and looking forward to the next competitions. Will get my daughter to post some pictures from today when she has downloaded them. Breitlingh is looking good!

It's so lovely to read updates like this. :) I'm so glad that things have progressed so well with your mare. I'm sure she'll go from strength to strength and have fewer and fewer dragon moments (I love that description).

Problems turned out to be physical and lack of schooling.
Physical = saddle adjusted, teeth done (twice in 8 weeks!), osteo came and worked on atlas bone.
Schooling, she is so so powerful behind that she sometimes frightens herself with the power and then doesn't know what to do with the legs and so jumps upward, a sort of rear. She'd fit into the Spanish riding school no problem:rolleyes:
This is getting better, she is more balanced and has more confidence in my daughter and my daughter in her.
Have asked daughter to hurry up and post pictures and a possible video.
They're out on a beach ride at the moment so Breitlingh can stretch her legs and relax after the competiton tensions. We make sure that we vary her work to keep her interested and switched on.
We are convinced this is a horse with top grade potential. Be interesting to find out what you all think. (When the pictures are posted!).
