Would just like to remember my Uncle Oliver ,today, killed in France, aged 18, by a sniper's bullet. He is buried in Bayeux Cemetery. Thank you to him, and to all the thousands of soldiers, and others, who gave their tomorrow's for our today's. I would also like to remember all the animals, especially the horses, who gave their lives in these awful conflicts. May they all Rest In Peace, and never be forgotten.
Hope no-one minds me posting this. Just felt it was something I wanted to do .

Moved from CR . Sorry, don't know how it ended up there! Wasn't meant to!

Merrymeasure, I think your post is very touching and important. It's is imperative that we don't forget the hundreds of thousands of soldiers and animals who selflessly gave their lives for the protection of future generations.

I'll be remembering them with a two minute silence at 11am.

I will be remembering my great grandmother's 3 brothers who are buried somewhere in Belgium. And to my grandad who was in the Merchant Navy. And giving thanks to all the serving members of the armed forces.

Pie will be wearing his poppy today as well, in rememberence of all the horses and other animals who have lost their lives in our service

Lest we forget
