Just interested in opinions/costs, fortunately not for my dog this time!

My sister has a cocker spaniel boy who has a lump on his left rib cage. Had a biopsy and recommended removal.

Vets have quoted £400-£500 - is this what you’d expect? It seems really high to me! I just wondered if my vets/area of the country is cheap 🤷‍♀️

Well…… thanks for the feedback, I’m sincerely glad I live In Gloucestershire 😳😳😳 Although my vet is just over the border in Herefordshire 😊

That’s less than they’d charge here. When it was my old dog I decided to wait and see and something unrelated got her at 17. I didn’t even have a biopsy though, so could have been anything.

Daisy had a very small one removed from her head and it was about £250 ish. She has a fatty lump under the skin which thankfully hasn’t grown any bigger but I’d expect to pay at least £500 for that be removed should it need to be.
