Just out of curiosity, has anyone removed the metal branding from a leather headcollar and replaced it with a plaque of the horses name?

Wanted to see if it is possible to do this.

Pic of the headcollar in question has been attached as it looks more glued? on rather than the typical way that they are attached.

TIA!

Name plaques are usually attached by punching two holes either end and attaching with rivets so should be easily possible and nobody would know.
Just look to peal off the above with some force and maybe some acetone.

If done properly when it's made, the end of the rivet will be under the leather out of sight. To do a good job, unstitch it, drill or punch the old rivets out if it has any, put your new plate in place, rivet it in then restitch it back together. If it's done without stitching being removed etc and just punched right through both thicknesses of leather then the rivet will be seen on the inside of the leather against the horse and it can pull hair out of the horse.
