Removing rust from studs...?

I use 3 in 1 oil, just a drop then brush with a wire brush. When I remember I clean them as I take them out a put in a little sealable bag in kitchen roll soaked in 3 in 1.

My dad is an engineer and studs are his job. He likes them to be perfect!!!

So do I, the rust comes off during use as long as the thread is still usable, keeping them oiled and wrapped can help prevent rust but most of mine are rusty and still in use.

Yep keep mine nice and with oil etc but YO found her found a couple years back and said that I can have but they are rusty and wondered if there a way to get the rust off, there are loads lol.

If left, they do get rusty, so always best to oil & wrap afterwards.
Otherwise, can of coke & soak overnight can often do the trick...........

They are so cheap, if the thread is affected I just buy new ones. Supastuds don't seem to rust tho

Does the coke trick actually work? have heard of it, do you then just have to wipe them over in the morning?

Shove them in and go for a nice fast gallop and jump and they're good and shiny when you take them out
