Just had that done on mine. Well over 2k to fix I'm afraid. They found the corrosion was much more than first appeared.

Iwould think they are as they dont have a chassis as such as op said its a case of having a look to see the extent of the problem, This is going to be the main issue with older 3.5 ton boxes esp the ones that are a converted panel van as they arnt built like a lorry on a ladder chassis, more like a car with thin presed sheet steel box sections and horse pee wont help !!! Sorry to be negative I hope its an easy cheep fix.. oh and it would pay to have them waxoiled after the repairs to slow the rust down...Anyone know how common and easily fixable corrosion on a sill is??
