Tentatively looking at selling my little 3.5 van conversion but no idea what its worth. Its a 2004 plate, had quite a bit done to it, master cylinder, new clutch, refurbed gearbox. We fitted a little sink in the grooms area and plenty of cupboards, payload is 1100kg. Its a bit scruffy on the outside but sound as a pound and runs fab. Hardly used it last year and am thinking of selling it in spring if I still have no motivation to ride. Has anyone been horsebox shopping recently who would have an idea of current values please?

It would depend quite a bit on the mileage even despite the work that has been done. I’ve seen a few quite smart looking ones recently (a bit newer than yours and tidy on the outside) for £17k to £20k. Mine was £19k a couple of years ago and is like this, with about 95k miles (probably the reason I notice those ads). I’m going to guess £10k to £15k depending on how scruffy it appears, and the mileage.

Examples:

Horsequest ref 301543
300355

As above, depends on the mileage. Also what the inside horse area is like as newer 3.5 now are often 'Stallion boxes' with a full wall which atm is what a lot of people want.

Ugh. Would never buy one or travel in one. I travelled a horse in one once, ever, and he sustained a massive cut to the front of his face, think he fell over forwards with no breast bar to lean on. Sorry, I know that isn't really the point of the post.
