renault master lorry question

My renault master has a single barn top style door i.e opening sideways not upwards.

there is about 1/2 - 3/4 inch gap at the top of the door where it does not meet the van. So when you stand inside you can see day light.

Should the door meet, or should there be a rubber seal bridging any gap?

I asked the coachbuilder but they said its to allow for any movement in the door like if you go over bumps in the road? this doesnt sound right to me but I'm new to lorry owning, i've looked at all my friends ones and i cant see that they have a gap.

The ones we build all have doors that open upwards.

my old one had a door the the side and im sure it didnt have a gap !! phone up other lorry manufacturers and ask them maybe take some pics to x

I had my lorry built in august last year, it isnt a renault master, but it is a 3.5t with barn style top doors - there is definately no gap at the top!

Ditto - mine is side closing and has no gap.
