grass keep in my area is usually between £40 [hill ground] and £100 [arable ground] per acre. I've just looked on McCartneys web site and found its averaging £200 per acre up to £467 per acre. Apparently grass is scarce for the ewes and lambs and there isnt much hay to be got.
How much will horse rent be at this rate?

A friend was offered just a field (with no shelters of any kind, not sure about water or any source of elec, but going to guess that'd be a no) for £40/week. Her current livery is £45 / week which includes stable, bedding, hay/haylage, field, school. She declined.

As said on a thread only last week, plenty of hay round our neck of the woods - a good 2nd cut last summer saw to that :)
Local farmer still got half a barn full - as have many others, if the local ads are to be believed :)
