I have no useful trees / buildings to attach camera too. (Lots of natural shelter but not suitable.

Wondered if this would work for getting camera and solar panel high enough? Maybe weighted at bottom too. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0CLS68F7G?ref=ppx_pt2_mob_b_prod_image

6kg and goes up to 2.3m

That or parasol stand and pole (but struggling to source pole!)

Any suggestions welcomed.

What’s a good height to cover a long narrow acre? 7ft?

Thanks

We just used an extra long wooden post, it was about 6’ when banged in but I can’t remember the full length of it. We have three acres and it was great, if flat land it’ll probably be fine. Only issue we had was the horses investigating it so it had to be fenced off (and could also probably be quite easily stolen at that height).

I attached mine to a the gate post…
Word of warning though they are addictive. You will find yourself checking on the horses constantly.

I would concrete in a 4" square post at least 8ft tall, make a roof to keep the rain off the lens and fence it off to stop the horses rubbing on the post. Never underestimate the power of the wind!
