Ive had a reolink go camera for a couple of years. In that time its been replaced twice under warranty as had water in the lens and then just stopped working. The connection on the solar panel broke so was sent a new solar panel. Then the battery stopped charging either on mains or solar panel. When its working its great but I do seem to have had a lot of issues. Even now with a new battery it seems to drain really quickly. Am I just unlucky with them?
They customer service is good and they replace the camera and parts but I am getting a bit fed up as like to be able to keep a eye on horses from home.
Has anyone else had issues?

I’m looking into Ring cameras as the Reolink ones I have keep breaking. I have a 4g one that i’ve had for years that’s never gone wrong, but all the ones I’ve had since then have given me problems. I’ve had two stop working in the last month!

I know your pain I have the 4g go pt, it was purchased about 18 months ago and am on 4th replacement. Good when working but invariably they lose signal and have to be rebooted which is quite difficult when you put them up high to deter theives.

I have been having out of box thought process about possibly rigging up 4 g router with solar and battery and adding Poe cameras or Wi-Fi ones.

At least I am not the only one! Its very frustrating and although the customer service is good I am getting a bit annoyed about sending cameras back at my own cost. I dont have wifi at stables so has to be 4g.

I have the Reolink camera and it’s now 7th months old and touch wood I’ve had no problems. It is mounted under a overhang so partially protected from the elements.

I’ve also looked into other ways of providing camera from Jackery solar power to plug a WiFi router in and connect many WiFi solar powered cameras in but I find so many options it confuses me of which option to take! Lol!

I have to Go and the Go PT, not really had any issues with either, apart from a connecting problem - one is about 3 years old, the other 18 months or so. Both are under an overhang, as mist/rain on the lens makes them pretty pointless otherwise. I'm pleased with them, they are so easy to set up, and any problems you do have, Reolink support are really quick to sort. They also compensated me once, for a week or so when after Storm Edna (or whatever it was called!), a camera wouldn't /couldn't connect, they credited my card with £50 , I hadn't been a difficult customer, but they felt the time taken to resolve the issue was unacceptable.
