Hi All,

I moved my Reolink camera a couple of days ago as it wasn't getting sufficient light now the trees had opened their leaves.

It now has absolutely no obstructions, but doesn't seem to be charging. It had a small amount of charge when I installed it, I checked on the paddock a couple of times yesterday and have turned it off PIR to allow it to charge. Yesterday was a bit overcast but not dark, today there is no charge at all!

Does anyone know how long they take to charge via solar? I'm loather to have to get it down again if it just needs to charge as its about 12ft in the air!

Thanks

It could be the solar panel plug. Mine stopped working quite quickly. It turned out to be the plug that had tarnished due to moisture. For something that’s designed to live outside it’s not very durable. Luckily son was able to replace it for me.

In answer to your question, you should have something in it after a few hours and the little battery picture in the settings on the app should show it charging. If it’s totally flat it might need to be charged via the mains first.

Thanks, I'll see if it comes to life later today, it certainly was getting some charge from it as it was totally flat then came back to life. It won't even connect at the moment though.

The OH is going to be thrilled if we have to get it down again 😆
