I know it's been asked before but it seems to be a real problem for folk!

I have a pair of Dublin field boots I bought a couple of years ago, between horse being off ill and no transport for a bit I never had a chance to wear them but when I did I managed to wear them twice before the zips burst. I'd have send them back but a) I bought them in the sales for £55 b) It was probably 18 months before they broke although I did only wear them twice.

so, as I still can't get my fat calves into my V expensive Regent boots and I don't see the point of buying new ones when these are sitting here

Does any one know somewhere not too expensive to have zips replaced? I've asked local saddler and she hasn't decided how much she would charge for this. I've also emailed Dublin to ask if they have such a service but if anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate them!

Its a real issue with Dublin boots - I had several pairs that did it and Dublin didn't seem interested.

Mine went to a local cobbler several times who was very good but it was costing £20 a zip. This was because they had to be hand done and not machiene done as of the boots shape.
