replacement for alfa a?

So do you want high calorie or low calorie? Does it have to be a chaff or is a soak able feed like Fast Fibre or Speedibeet an option?

Honeychop does a molasses and alfalfa free chaff. You can also get a Timothy chaff (nothing but chopped Timothy grass) that is meant to be quite palatable and low sugar - sorry i can't remember the supplier.

Honeychop oat straw is what I had my old pony on who was mollasses and alfalfa intollerant as well as fat!

You could also look at pure feed when your fast fibre runs out. It worked out cheaper for me, it's a chaff and mix in one and there are different energy levels. I had mine on pure easy in winter and pure fibre in summer

Mollichaff Calmer is pretty good, no alfalfa and i think very low or no molasses

Also Pure Easy. It has little nuggets in. My two love it

Oh, I was just going to reply and say that Simple systems are the ones that do the Timothy chop. Mine loved it, but it's a bit pricey and a bit hard to get hold of in my area. The Honeychop oat straw chaff is good, and lasts ages...huge great bag for about £8 or so. I add a bit of brewers yeast, which seems to make it much more yummy...mine have that and their balancer, and love it.
