I am having the floor replaced on my trailer. Does anyone know anything about a newish type of floor they can put in that has a layer of fibre glass over the top of the wood? Apprently it is stronger than just the marine ply?

never heard of that. We got our floor (very recently) from Ifor Williams and it's marine ply with a resin coating on top. Remember to coat the edges with pvc glue or similar to seal where it's been cut.

you can buy fibreglass paint to seal it yourself if you prefer. It's awesome stuff, we used it to seal our leaking roof in the trailer (which had caused the floor to go)

resin IS fibreglass ish.

resin is what is used with a fibre matting to make up fibreglass.

I would guess you are talking about the same thing only it has been described to you both slightly differently.

You might be talking about Buffalo Board? It's some sort of wood/plastic mix that you could shoot with a shotgun and it wont break! When my trailers floor was redone we sent it to a compnay who sponsored us as they specialise in horse trailer/box building, repairs and renovations. They put in a layer of marine ply AND a layer of buffalo board and its a solid as concrete lol.
