Replacing girthstraps on single flap saddle?

I've noticed that the girth straps on my close contact dressage saddle are starting to get a bit worn and will probably need replacing. I took the saddle to my local saddler to see if he could replace them but he'd never seen a saddle like it before and didn't really know what to do with it!

Does anyone know where I can get them replaced (I'm in Cambridge) and roughly how much it would cost? I've phoned Sederholm Selected and left a message but not heard back from them yet. THank you!

French's used to do tack repairs but if your saddle is quite unusual, perhaps they won't know what to do either.

Yep, Frenchs is the one who didn't know quite what do with it!

Aha, I see. Perhaps you should post some pics of your saddle straps; several HHO members are saddlers and might be able to help

This might be a bit far for you - nearer Bedford, but I have used Lynsey Ellis for saddle repairs & been very pleased.

I have the same situation!
its not an overly expensive saddle but its a perfect fit for my cold backed horse hence i would love to have the straps replaced, but it does seem to cause confusion! it will be interesting to know how you get on!
