Finally took my own advice and wrote to BD to enquire as to what the delay was.

Got a very nice reply back.....feel a bit sorry for them now

"Good Afternoon

Thank you for your email.

I apologise for the inconvenience that the delay may be causing you and your fellow competitors and I can honestly say that I am sharing your frustration. Unfortunately, we are only a small discipline in a very busy working atmosphere and at this time of year when the Winter regionals are starting we are under a lot more pressure with a very tight timeline. Being one of the smallest disciplines means have one of the smallest teams of staff. I will try my very best for you to get the results up to date as soon as I possibly can.

Once again I apologise for causing you this frustration."

Is a good point, or set up a more efficient system.

I think I will bring it up with regional rep type person.

I do feel sorry for them being over worked, but they do need to look seriously at the service they are offering by not loading results promptly

Maybe they should set up a system where the show centres enter the results online, straight onto the bd website, rather than sending them via post or fax and then them getting sat in a pile waiting to be put onto the system. Would probably be expensive to set up though...

There are 12 office staff listed- no idea how that compares with BE and BSJA

Have to say they may be bogged down but they are always really patient to help me and send things out really fast in the post

Sorry guys, but am not feeling v sympathetic to BD. The technology is out there now to make this excuse very lame.

Our eventing results (Eventing Ireland) are uploaded onto the website by the scorers on site (in fact it means we can all get off home earlier, as can check website on Sat night to see where finished). A pay as you go SIM for uploading off a mobile phone is not expensive by any means.

Don't feel guilty that you are hassling them. Perhaps if enough people do they will speed things up.

The EI website is fantastic for results... The SJAI website has improved a lot as well. The DI website and the DI regional websites are fine for schedules, but not all results are shown. I must say though... For membership and registration cards they are extremely quick, and they also reply to your e-mails as soon as they can and the secetary is very helpful. I understand what they mean by being small in comparison to BE and BSJA as well, DI isn't that popular over here.

Nor me - I suspect they have many hundreds of members who all deserve a better deal than they get at the moment. The technology is definitely available so make a fuss, particularly on this forum, and don't feel sorry for them - they need to make a fuss with their bosses as well or nothing will change.
BSJA need a good kick up the bottom from their members too in my opinion.

Hmmm, I was thinking that the delay may be christmas and regional-related... However based on that we should expect delays throughout Feb, during April (winters), then July, Aug and Sep with the summer regionals/national champs so that only leaves March (but maybe winter champ related business will be going on then?), and May, June, Oct and Nov should be ok but clearly Dec is no good either! I think more staff/new system required...
