Well it was my Birthday Fri so I had quite a heavy eve and wasn't feeling on form shall we say. Lottie was having a stressy time on the yard and kept cantering around whilst tied up, she argued a bit when we tried to load her. Go to show and realised another 2 classes to run before the 2'6" clear round.

So we watched for a bit then went back tacked up etc and got on, she was fine until we reached the warmup arena. No one had forewarned me we would be surrounded by mares and foals. Now I believe Lottie possibly spent the first 7years of her life nannying foals as she is just obsessed with them, I could not get her to concentrate. Jumped x pole coming away from foals and she was fine, then realised I jumped it the wrong way around. So I was approaching the foals, she wasn't concentrating and crashed straight in to the fence (some how I stayed on). She then went on to jump fine though still not listening. I got off to walk the course, then got back on and thought i'd give her another pop, ame to upright lovely, then to parallel - dirty stop. Again came to parallel another stop, tried several times and then somone kindly put front pole down to cross pole, she flew it. Front rail went up again and we stopped several times. I knew I was clearly doing something wrong so lady but front rail down again and told me not to cut corner off, really ride and then go in to the ring. She popped it and in we went.

She was not really going forward so we had 1 stop at a wall and then water tray (mind you last time we attempted water tray I could not get anywhere near it and she was vertical rearing) so this time we jumped it.

Next class I was first to go, so deciced not to jump again but for dad to lead her around in walk, i'd then get on after walking course, have one canter around and then straight in. Wow what a difference, she jumped lovely until a silly stop at the last fence. I always seem to balls up practice and first round/ class!

Hey i was there on Saturday doing the 2ft 6 class i probably watched you go round!? What does your neddy look like? They took ages to change that course from clear round to class drove me mad and the warm up was crazy too! My pony was eyeing up the mares and foals im sure she felt broody. So lovely to see them living like that though.
I had a stop at the second part of the first double. God is that course spooky there! She went to stop at the first part of the double and then jumped from a standstill then ran out of second part! I needed to give her a bit of a smack and get her to concentrate but it all comes up so fast when there being naughty and i didnt have time to think about it. Oh well plenty more times! Horses eh!!

It was quiet spooky there and lots to take in, I was on a chunky 15.3hh bay mare with stat and snip, Warmblood with short legs and long body. I was the first to go in. They were taking there time setting it up

Mmm no dont think i remember you! I think maybe i went to warm up when it 'finally' started!
The organiser in the office said they were going to hold some jumping in the outdoor ring over the winter too is the weather held out. So hopefully get plenty more time to practise there.

I literally did my round, stopped at last, came out and went straight back to the lorry. My trainer normally uses it over the winter for clinics so I will go to them. What horse were you riding?
