This was definately a success!
Some of the showjumps only appeared to be about 2ft 3, but the xc was much bigger (it incorporated a couple of intro fences), but it was still a great experience.
I think the ideal time for the xc was a bit too tight for such a low level of competition, as there were only 2 people in my seciton that didn't get any time penalties.
But on the other hand, they gave an alternative to the lake, which is a good idea although I took my horse through it because he loves water!
I thought I was going at a good speed in the xc, but ended up with 21 time faults
It was a hot day though, and I had just been running around the xc course because I was only given 30 mins between my sj and xc, so I was exhausted!
In the end I came 8th, which is ok I guess as it's my first BE comp.
Anyway, to sum up, I think it is definitely a good idea to properly introduce it as a new level if they edited a few things.
