Reproofing stables with back pack sprayer?

Morning,

Am very short, and stables need re doing with stablecoat woodstain stuff. On their website it mentions using a back pack sprayer to apply......has anyone tried this rather than using a brush? I'd have to spend a lot of time up a ladder to do it with a brush and sounds so easy just spraying away......

OH got a cheap handheld sprayer on the web. It worked fine for our wooden stables
He was cautious about using knapsack sprayer in case viscosity of wood treatment was too thick.

I tried using a sprayer with pro tek stablecoat and personally it didn't work for me! Left too many lines, its pretty runny stuff that dries very quickly so any drips look awful.

I’ve used this one with great success for the last few years. Makes light work of it and does a good job. I chase myself with a paint brush to tidy up if I need to.

Handheld. not as posh as the one recommended above though!

Yes I have used a knapsack sprayer. Do wear a mask though, and even better some disposable overalls as it gets everywhere.
I’ve just done mine with a proper air compressor and jet wash attachment and it took about 5 minutes ?

*make sure you park your car up wind if you spray your stables! ??

agreed these work great. seem to cope with all sorts of liquids. I uses Creocote and it worked really well.

It’s brilliant. I can get the whole block painted in a day. It used to take me a week and an awful lot more precarious balancing at the top of a ladder to do the apexes!
