Request for trailer floor info

Not this year.
I had my Sinclair Sovereign trailer's floor changed some years ago when Ifor Williams was renewing their floors for aluminium floors.
My Sinclair had a plywood with Liquid rubber on top originally and the trailer is a lightweight aluminium trailer. I didn't have a problem but asked the local Ifor Williams dealer if they coul put an aluminium floor in the Sinclair as Sinclair was no longer trading, they went in to receivership.
I also changed the ramp a few years aago and last year I had two new axles, complete with new brakes etc fitted. As I have mytrailer regularly serviced each year we noticed two big holes in the axles, I have photographs of them. Don't think many people think of checking them!
I now got a trailer which is almost as new although it is over 20 years old. It is very lightweight approx. 650 kgs so with one horse it can easily be towed with a car.

Dear forumites, have any of you had problems with the floor in your trailer this summer??
Please let us know.

Hopefully no one has had a accident with a collapsing floor but maybe you could point out how important regular checking of the floor is and that using marine ply or unprotected ply instead of the proper phenoic flooring ply or aluminum isnt a good idea..

Yes I have! And I'm waiting to have it looked at. It looks like it got wet and has slightly com apart in places :S its not soft in any places

Not this summer but had a problem with my previous trailer.

It was a design fault with the Bayhill Sportsman, the seal on the oustide went on them which in time let rain water seap into the sides but only round certain edges (known fault, happend with alot of the same model/year) which weakend the floor from underneith, many needed re-flooring after a certain amount of years as they were the wood floors. We had our re-floored and then checker plated around the outside to prevent water coming in again, apart from that it was a dam good trailer.
