Requisite Rugs (Robinsons) - would you recommend?

I have a cheap 100g stable. Fits quite nicely actually and it's not amazingly robust but okay for the money. Bought a cotton sheet at the same time which I actually really liked, but it shrank the first time I washed it so it's now been donated to a smaller animal.
 
I have the fly rug, it was on offer for £15 so it was worth the gamble. They had it in 6"3, my horse looks better in 6"6 but because he's inbetween I thought it would be fine. It looks okay but I will have to get a chest extender because it's a bit tight round his shoulders and he's rubbed his fur off. I'd say I was really pleased with it. Don't get me wrong - not much will beat Amigo or Horseware Ireland, but for the price I paid I was happy.
 
I only have a couple, but find them ok for the money. As others have said, they seem to come up small so I'd go up a size. They also don't put Velcro on the front so they can end up gaping at the front and pulling back, so I sew some on.
 
I have two and have been delighted for the money at how well they have lasted. I have a mwt and a lwt turnout - they are waterproof, don't slip and while they aren't the colours I would have chosen (I bought them on eBay), it doesn't matter when they are muddy.

They aren't over generous in the shoulder, but they are reasonably true to size.
 
First year I had Ted all 3 of his rugs were Requisite and they fit him pretty well and I found the quality pretty decent and went on to sell all 3 when he outgrew them coming into last winter. I realised that if i waited for the rug sale they normally have around end of summer beginning of autumn i could get Amigo rugs on sale for the same price as them. Bought one for the serial rug ripper as a last resort and it ripped straight down the back in a matter of days but she is the size of a tank and about 7ft in the chest but about 6'6 from chest to bum so pretty impossible to fit anything to :rolleyes:
 
I bought one for Toffee who is 5'6 and it fit her perfectly, the only thing was though it kept twisting when ever she moved. I'm not sure why but it does:) I bought a medium weight one and I think it was about £40- £45 which I think is reasonably priced. The only thing I would say is that they aren't that strong, we used to have barbed wire fencing and Toffee got it caught and it ripped the side (we used silicone to fix it) , but our other pony Poppy has a Mark Todd rug and she did the same and it didn't rip. So if you have a rug wrecker they might not be the best but apart from that I'd say they're great! All the fastening are really nice and secure and they've never come off or undone.

I've just got a TB and I'm not sure yet what he's like with rugs as he hasn't been out so didn't want to spend a lot of he's just going to rip them! They have good offers on their rugs at the moment so tempted to try them.
 
I had a couple of light weights last year and they were fine. All the same comments as those above.

I have literally just been on Robinsons sale and bought a light, medium and heavyweight turnout and 2 medium stable rugs for winter and didn't spend more than £90 with postage, so if they only last the winter and I bin them at the end, I am happy at that price!
 
I had a lw stable rug from the a few years ago. It was the weirdest pattern ever, but it fitted very well (horse is very big, and has very large shoulders), stayed in place, and didn't fall apart. For the grand sum of £15, I couldn't complain!

I bought a fantastic lightweight stable rug a few years ago which fits well and has been surprisingly durable. I bought a cooler rug last winter that didn't fit at all, despite being the same size!

If they fit, I think the stable rugs, fleeces & coolers are excellent value for money IMHO :)
