As title, my horse who has been off for about three months now from competition and work with a sprain on the lateral branch of the suspensory ligament is being rescanned tomorrow following a month of walk only ridden exercise.
The last time he was rescanned (a month ago) after bringing him back into work over a four week period his scan rather disappointingly showed no improvement whatsoever and it became obvious that he couldn't tolerate the work at that particular moment in time.
I'm so hoping for good news tomorrow.
I know most people ask for vibes for really important stuff like horses surviving serious illnesses and operations and this is probably nothing very special to most people but I so want him to be back to normal, we have both missed our jumping and dressage comps and things like being able to school or go for a canter across a field is something I have really missed although I know I've been lucky it wasn't a serious sprain or tear of the tendon. I think Bailey is getting fed up of hacking out, we've done so much that my farrier expressed surprise about the paper thin shoes he took off him last shoeing!
I told him he wouldn't get much money from the scrap man for those when they were melted down!
My physio friend has worked so hard on him this last month giving him LW ultrasound every day and I am eternally grateful to her. Thank you Nelson 11 (with all my heart).
