Rescue Greyhounds

Thank you! They are beautiful. Especially your brindle girlie - wasn't she stunning? You must miss her a lot

Yes, for some reason I miss Jura more than I have ever missed any dog

But I know she had a very happy life for the 6 years she was with me, so that makes it easier

(IMO only breed worth having, although hubby would like a greyhound)

I'll second that Stinker Stonkers Mum...! (Bumble Dog fan speaking

)

Must admit though, of all the breeds I've become virtually acquainted with on HHO, I've fallen for a few of the cracking whippets I've seen on here

my mum has got a GH
i call it a cat, all it does it sleep lol

she came from the kennels, used to race at bellvue in manc, but then retired

she likes the odd fuss, and they adore sardines, but apart from that its sleeps for most of the day

The only thing we cant do is let her off the lead, as she doesnt come back lol she just runs and runs lol

makes a great family/single person pet , but its not exactly a guard dog

I have 3 Greyhounds & i would recommend them as the best dogs ever.
They are really is to keep, a good sofa/bed is a must for them as they love nothing more than comfort.
Here's pics of my 3.
Scooby who only has 3 legs but that doesn't stop him from running around:

I love your pics

And I love how Sparky has white bits in exactly the same places as my two black greyhounds have had - must be a genetical thing that they pass it on

Perrie really interested to see you have a three legged long nose, I've also got one except he's missing a front leg, he still manages to hoon around at top speed though but he can't cock his leg as he lands on his nose, but he's worked that out now. Does your lad suffer from arthritis at all, my boy is only 2 so OK at the moment, but I guess at some point he's going to get it.

OP another option is to get a greyhound or lurcher from Evesham Greyhound and Lurcher rescue (www.lurcher.org.uk) all their dogs are kept in foster homes so they are house trained and fully vetted. I have two from there and can highly recommend them.
