Yes but rescue horses generally need lots of experience and time. The have often been through a horrific past, making them nervy and even more unpredictable than others. Can she deal with the extra baggage that comes with something like this? Somebody that wants to 'play' with horse would be much better getting something that had had a decent start to life.

Having deal first hand with 'rescues' I find it staggering that you could be taking it so lightly. So yes you may have asked a reasonable question but from the way it was phrased and the language you have used it suggests that you are also fairly young and not too experience. I may of course be wrong and stand to be corrected.

Prehaps a little food for thought.

TBH I would expect anyone wanting to have a 'rescue' horse to at least know what ILPH stood for.

I suggest 'your friend' doesn't tell them she "wants one to 'play' with"!!!!!!

Im sorry but everyone is right! If your friend wants a pony to 'play with' then put an advert up for someone thats got an old veteran that would benefit from a little love and attention- dont get her to go out and get a rescue pony who will probably need alot of work. Im sure there are tonnes of people who would be quite happy to have someone come up and spend a little time with one of their old retired horses.
