Bit of a pointless post but need to rant. A few months ago there was a post on a sled dog site saying could anyone help with a 10 month old bitch in our local pound who only had 2 days, we were looking for another malamute so got in touch, when they said she was a husky I said that she was not the dog for us but if they had no other options we could take her temporarily but we were waiting for a mal from amcuk rescue. Anyway husky came to stay with us and was everything a husky is meant to be, lively, bouncy, nplayful, generally crazy, my mal hated her but it was only meant to be until another foster was found. We posted updates regularly about her saying how much better she was with food now, will walk to heel but still over excited if she sees another dog, not good with cats and not to be trusted with kids as she is too easily excited and jumps up if not managed probably and in her excited state I would not trust her not to playfully nip.
Well we had her 4 weeks and no word from rescue on any other home and no posts from them on their website or facebook to get her a home so we postedon a few sites that she was looking for a home and to contact the rescue for more info, this seemed to upset the rescue and suddenly they started posting urgent appeals for a foster home for her.
2 weeks later she went to her new foster home that have a 5 year old daughter and another dog. They didnt introduce the dogs on neutral ground just took her straight into the house and the 2 dogs had a fight, bloke tried to break it up and got bitten by her.
OH has left the rescues facebook group as he gets annoyed by them , I am not on facebook and am now wiried about what is going to happen to this poor girl if she keeps getting bounced into unsuitable homes. She really is super friendly but still under 1 year and has had no structure or training in her life and the rescue who should be looking out for her dont seem to take her needs in properly.
Sorry for long post and rant over x

That's a shame doesn't sound like she deserves a black mark against her, new foster home seems inexperienced to not understand importance of introductions & worrying that they've also a young child in the mix.
How frustrating to see Rescue not do best by her I can understand why your OH just has to switch off. I can't see they can stop you promoting her if available to adopt now (it seemed odd they got annoyed before) but if they opt to put her in such a foster home does make you wonder how choosy they are on adopters.
When fostering we were questioned on how we'd introduce dogs and deal with some other common issues during our homecheck.

I promote my foster dogs on my fb page as well as regular updates emailed to the rescue who then put it on their website and fb page. The first piece I write is just an introduction as the dog is under assessment and I do state not yet ready for rehoming. The idea is to get the word out so the dogs can be rehomed as quickly as possible to the right home thus freeing up a rescue place for another dog.

For a rescue to take umbrage at this would be very peculiar, it sounds like OP you have done a very good job and can understand your rant, I too would be furious and their stance is unfortunately failing this dog who has by the sounds of it has just been palmed off to the first person who has a space.

Unfortunately some rescues are just rubbish and are run by people who have no idea and it makes you wonder what their motives are, the rehoming policies of some just make me want to despair .

It just doesn't seem like the chances are good for a happy ending for this girl. There seems to be more and more husky types dumped in rescues each day so if she doesn't get the right help she will turn into a problem dog and with so many out there to rehome what would her chances be and none of it is her fault she is really affectionate and loving but very tiring and lots of hard work too.

Would rather not name them on a public forum cyrus as although I think they are an unorganised bunch of idiots they do have dogs that need rehoming and wouldn't want to put potential new owners who do have a clue off adopting these dogs
