I think that is wise WG. Mine had two vets look at her teeth, and it was only until my super-duper vet/dentist looked at hers and did x-rays that we could actually say she was fine! So never any harm in doing things twice to be sure.

I'm sure once you find a yard with good grazing, good routine and company she will settle down and the weight will pile on :)

Spring is coming I would not worry about her condition to much unless she’s losing weight she will be much healthier gaining weight slowly and naturally in spring .

if you want a good one bag only food I would try Saracens re-leve ,it’s a good mix but not cheap and one thing I have personally used recently is the Mole valley condoning cubes they are cheap and worked a treat .
on the idiocy in the stable many rescues have poor associations with stables but summer is a great time to fix things like when the flys are bad bring her in and do only nice things it takes time .
