Hello....((((((waves))))))
grin.gif
that J.r.t is 12 months old and she is the cutest icle doggi ever...she is gorgeous...her picci is a little blurd, we have to get a better one
smile.gif

Awwwww, lovely pics, thanks for posting these C, always great to see your doggy peeps.

Now then, I know he has very long legs but could you squish the gorgeous "Greengrass" lurcher into a cardboard box and pop him in the post to me?
laugh.gif

All lovely dogs, good luck finding homes for them x.

LOL...he is gorgeous
grin.gif
, we have kept his brother, the lighter shaggy one in the other set of piccies, they where in another rescue and kept in kennels there, my mam got a call to say they could not get near the dogs as they where so scared and aggressive (could she help)
crazy.gif
, so me and OH went down to get them, and they where right....they looked like they wanted to eat us alive
shocked.gif
....managed to get them from the kennel after alot of patience and some cooked chicken
grin.gif
............ wait till OOTP sees him

They are both adorable, just the type of lurcher myself and OH have always admired. A lurcher is on our shortlist for a second dog maybe next year. Just a bit worried that a Ridgeback (with "selective" recall skills
smirk.gif
) and a lurcher may be a bad idea - they could run all day together
crazy.gif

Good choice, this type of lurcher are generally very bidable and pretty clever, these 2 stick like super glue no chance of them running off for play, flint(our lurcher) keeps his eye on us all the time
grin.gif
they would panick if we turned the other way and pretended to run, they bong extremely quick
smile.gif

I may end up with merlin yet im sure
crazy.gif
everytime I go to mams which is where merlin is I cant help but make fuss of him, he is gorgeous

I'll take Merlin, Harry and Honey please

Honey is a beautiful example of a lab, what's her story?

[/ QUOTE ]

Melin and harry are lush...so is honey actually...she is soooooo loving and stupid, typical lab, she was in a local pound type kennel(sh1t hole of a place
frown.gif
) and was taken on by a family, they had her 2 months before the woman fell pregnant and wanted shot of her
crazy.gif
so she was on route back to the kennels
frown.gif
but ended up with us
smile.gif

He was handed into greyhound rescue by some young kids....I suspect used for hunting, and nowhere to keep him, hich is very common in young lads to buy them and keep them in allotments because their parents wont allow them in the house, then when they have to get them out of the alltments..they get turfed out or tied up
crazy.gif
the lucky ones get to the rescues.

Yoohoo Cala
smile.gif
Well if I had my way I'd be on my way up to yours to get better aquainted with that gorgeous Merlin.... ooh, my ideal lurcher. I'm sure Miss Ruby would be more than happy to add another handsome young man to her band of admirers.... unfortunately OH says I have my full quota of four leggeds now (spoilsport
mad.gif
)

Hey B, how are you? I thought about your M when I saw lovely Harry too

You have got to be kidding me
crazy.gif
How utterly perfect is he. Any idea how they ended up in rescue? Is he still aggresive? He doesn't look it.

No aggression what so ever now..they have both turned out to be lovely natured boys...a little wary of strangers at first but stick like glue to those they get chance to bond with and fabulous in the house with other dogs and cats.

They where both left in a kennel from day one, no socialising, no walks, nothing just a kennel from the age of o to 11 months
crazy.gif
, they where taken on by another rescue when the previous owner who kept them in a kennel handed them in.
They became frightened and began to kennel guard pretty badly when placed in the rescue kennels...Flint the one we kept was the worst...he attacked the kennel staff and bit a woman
crazy.gif
....my mam got a call to ask if she could help in any way as the rescue may have to contemplate p,t,s
frown.gif

So me and OH went down to kennels and they where not wrong
crazy.gif
...they where like ferral dogs, I tried to coax them but they where going to eat me....we managed to use some chicken and lasoo style slip lead over the lead( the kennel staff fled for dear life when we removed flint from the kennel to take him to the car
crazy.gif
shocked.gif

....we returned 2 days later for merlin as he was the better of the 2....they have turned out fab...2 lovely boys
smile.gif

I knew u would like him

Merlin really reminds me of Macallan who I used to own.. well a blue version of him obviously...

P5210010.jpg

We had to re-home him when I got divorced - he went to a fabulous home, people with loads of acres, his own sofa, and another lurcher, terrier and saluki to play with
smile.gif

We never mention the staffies do we. What an abused and neglected bunch they are. Have a look at our local rehoming centre on here

http://www.stgileskennels.co.uk/dogs-4-adoption_132_1.htm

14 of the 28 dogs for rehoming are staffies or staffy crosses. That's bloody terrible when you think how many breeds there are to choose from. I like the look of little Harriet but that would leave no room for more lurchers

Macallan was stunning! How sad to have to part with him.

He was absolutely gorgeous and really really sweet to have around - but he had the braincell of a dead gnat

Poor girly. It's a good thing I don't live closer to you as I think I would have taken her by now! What age do you reckon she'd be?

He is lovely, he looks very deerghoundy x'sed....I think our 2 have alot of bedlington in them, but they do look very similar, yours looks more like my OH's deerhound, same body and hair.

His mother was the spitting image of him, but smaller and slighter, and his dad was a black/grey collie lurcher. It was so funny when we saw the litter, just like the puppies on Lady and the Tramp, half the pups were grey and had blocky collie like heads and half were fawn and looked like Mac
