What dosage would everyone recommend for a very stressed 15 hh TB/Arab on box rest for a broken pedal bone. He's been stabled since the accident in August and had been coping pretty well until last week. This week however he has turned into a raging monster and is well on the way to doing himself quite a lot of harm if I can't quieten him down.

I'm going to completely alter his diet and try Fast Fibre and ad lib hay, cutting out everything else, and wondered about Rescue Remedy but am unsure how much to give him.

If it doesn't work with him, I'll take it!

Many thanks.

If he is really stressed you probably need more than RR but when I used it I put a few drops at a time on a piece of apple and kept adding more until it worked, but you may find that acp from the vet is a better option.

10 drops in his water bucket, 5 in his feed. Take some yourself too! He will definitely pick up on you worrying about him. Why do you think his attitude has suddenly changed? A feed toy might help. My mare loves the banging and crashing she can create with her feed ball and only glances to see if anything has actually dropped out of it. But if you think things are getting really out of hand, then I'd get some ACP down him for a day or two.
