Rescue Remedy - quick Q!

How long before competing should it be taken? How long does it last?

I'd say about 1/2 hour, and it should last the length of your class, but then I've never used it thats just what i've heard.

Don’t use it anymore as now have a ned that doesn’t try and kill me, but I started spraying it in my mouth (few squirts) about an hour before hand and kept having a spray up until I got on. Probably overdosed on it, but boy did it help (may have been placebo though?)!

i take the pastells on eventing days, probably every 1-2 hours, from when I wake up to 20 mins before XC!! lol

Wow, there are rescue remedy pastills??!! I usually take if or give to horse 20mins before stressfull situation, I would imagine it would last about an hour?

Have you ever looked at the ingredients?

distilled grape alcohol - in other words, brandy!

Yep, it has a very distinctive smell of brandy!!! Not at all unpleasant!

You cannot overdose on it though, so personally I take it from when I get up at frequent intervals until start of 'stressful event'!!
