Rescue Remedy

Hi, I use the pastilles before competing and find they really do work whereas the liquid didn't do a thing for me.

You have to put 3 or 4 in your mouth at the same time though & sort of suck them/chew them very slowly and they take about 5 minutes to work. Eating one at a time doesn't really seem to do anything tbh.

I've used it myself and have also given it to a mare of mine who was difficult to load... I just dipped sliced apples in the stuff (For her, not me) :) although i'm not sure if its just a placebo effect... but it took the edge off things in my mind lol :)

You can get the whole range in Holland & Barrett. I prefer the strawberry flavoured pastilles but don't leave them in a hot car as they all melt into one gooey lump. I prefer to use a squirty bottle and do 4 squirts if I feel in the need - usually just before I ride my stallion - you have to be in the right frame of mind for him!
It does work - whether it is psycological (sp) or not - what does it matter? I have used it on the horses but I find that I get better results with the horses by sprinkling lavender on a body brush and chilling us both out as I groom in readiness for a ride. But be careful if your horse has sensitive skin.
Thinking about it though - if you are calm then the horse should be too.
