I will post a couple of pictures of the group later as I am currently on my phone They still remain at the field as awaiting for the land to go through but should have her by the end of the week. They are doing well on the fast fibre they are on now, sadly, the owner has not provided haylage for 4/5 days. In the last bale I noticed ragwort, which they didn't eat, but still have been dosing Milk Thistle in there food.

Anyone helping an animal in need is good .

But this person should be reported to stop them treating more animals this way.
Or buying the animals will just fund him to but more and neglect the next ones.

I have reported him, also many others too, Rspca have shot 4 horses of his and know about 2 others that have died in his fields over a 2 year peroid and they said they didn't know who the owner was, yet his name&adress is down on the rental argeement! They all work together(Council/Rspca/Travelling communtiy) It shocks me how they get away with it( a lot of brown envolopes), yet this is not the only owner who gets away with it down here.

I think we can all agree with Luke that there are many "owners" who get away with this and the authorities are relatively powerless to act. I lived in Northern Ireland for many years and one particularly colourful individual had many herds who were seriously neglected and the authorities did nothing (also due to the individual being involved with "political violence" over there) and for some one who witnessed horses searching for food day after day (one of the herds were in a field close to where I kept my own) it is impossible not to try to help, I have done it myself.

Most of these neglected horses are on 'Local Authorities' land yet, when I e-mailed them, they said it's not there problem and told me to contact the RSPCA. These ponies are sadly not just an isolated situation, I took a picture of mare with foal at foot yesterday, Same family own them, but different location to the other ones. I will put a couple of links to the pictures up. The lot I am feeding haven't had haylage for 6 days now, there searching for strands of haylage in there poo!
