It was brought to our attention yesterday(17/2/09) that a post was made on this forum that called the business ethics of the "E-Quine Group" & "A Lighter Hoof Print" specificaly into question.Although the post was quickly deleted we are taking the matter very seriously.

We are happy to answer any questions anyone may have regarding our products and services-and, of course deal with any legitimate concerns or complaints. However, these random derfamitory comments are,and will continue to be monitored and passed along to the appropriate authorities.

Lou, This is a company complaining about defamatory posts, which they are within their right to do of course, as they can be damaging to the company's business. However, it would be more appropriate to take up with H&H, rather than post on here, which will clearly muddy the waters.

I missed the post, so apologise if this has nothing to do with it, but surely, if someone experiences something with a company or a product and their experience of it is less than satisfactory (faulty, or bad service as basic examples) then if they talk about it, it isn't a defamatory comment as it is their opinion based upon the truth of the experience they have had?

If it was completely unfounded then it is another thing entirely.

Agree with MF, they shouldn't be posting about it, but taking it up with H&H, no need to throw weight around and make subtle threats such as, "appropriate authorities."

I know what the problem is.. Im not stupid.. But theres no need to post it. sorry

I didn't call you stupid FGS.

There is no reason why they shouldn't post it, other than the possibility of it complicating things. Free speech and all that, I suppose.

Won't present the company in a good light though

That seems imo a rather dramatic post, and if you truely feel you have been insulted as a business, then doesnt really make any sense at all to post on here. You should be contacting admin and dealing with it through them they will soon tell you if any post has been deemed as you imply. The only things that this forum does is air opinions and experiences, and you will be unable to stop people posting their experiences and opinions they have with/about companies with a dramatic post, better to go through admin!

Now, you see, I didn't have a clue what you are on about, I haven't seen the post, wouldn't think about it twice...BUT you brought it to my attention, so now I will be looking out for peoples opinion on your company/services/products - just because I am a nosy cow and like a bit of drama.
What I'm trying to say is you did yourself no favours by posting this - removing the offending post should be sufficient and more effective, if not, take it up with H&H, don't let us rip you apart and so on

I totally missed this as well despite looking into Forum more than once yesterday, but blink and 100 more threads appear--exaggeration but you know what i mean

Cant imagine anyone on here was ruder than posters on uk business Forum though

im not sure about this post, is this some weird advertising post ' thing????
If admin pulled the thread, then they would have read it and been able to converse with you reg' the contents, and agree, If they have been unable to do that then it would apear they didnt see it the same way you did praps!!

The E-quine Group is not a limited company or anything that appears on google.

Shenanigans!

Perhaps Karen ought to spend more time updating her headache promoting (really no one needs a background that bright!) website, rather than trying to covertly plug her book on here.

Thanks for the post, I won't be using your company in the future. I didn't read the thread you refer to but if you want to deny us our right to free speak then you really are not people I would wish to do business with.

In the main the forum users are intelligent people, we make our own mind up about products and services.

Various website/business get rated and slated and they continue to trade with no problems what so ever.

Hell there was a 5 page thread about the shocking service at PE and I ended up buying stuff from them as it brought to my attention the fact they had a sale on!

Lol, it would be, but I Googled and looked at another Forum they've posted on and decided against

Hey ho.

I had written, what I thought was a brilliant and witty reply, but it got eaten by The Ether (on the two or so pages that disappeared

).

they have taken off some of my posts on this thread - I don't know why, if you looked at what I had written, I was advising them of how dangerous it is to make accusations unless they have substantiated proof, and the implications thereof, there was nothing in there unless they didn't like the fact I was speaking the truth and asked Admin to pull it.

I in fact, will PM Admin as I think this is ridiculous that something that was not defamatory at all has been deleted. Freedom of speech what?

just a note to the last few responses to our thread, we did not ask admin to remove any posts at all! We had actually made a complaint of them being removed.

Very wise. It's never a good thing to stop free speech.
