This morning at 10.10 my beautiful girl laid down and went to sleep forever. She is at rest now and the enormous sense of peace that surrounded her was perfect.

She was 26 and my first pony, bought for me for my 4th birthday nearly 22 years ago to the day. I have so many memories and will treasure them forever.

Last night I spent the evening with her, just me and her and in her own little way she said goodbye and told me it was ok. She was ready.

She was the most perfect pony any little girl (or big one!) could hope to grow up with and I am honored that I was chosen to look after her. Truely one in a million.

I still can't believe that I will never have the pleasure of seeing her beautiful face again.

I love you darling, sleep tight xxx

How brave you have been today and my heart goes out to you. You will still her face in your mind, but how many of us wouldnt give a year of our own lives for just a day with our departed horses. x

Huge hugs to you. She was a very lucky girl to have been in one loving home for so much of her life, please remember that when you feel sad.

Sleep tight Polly x.

You've been so brave.

Looks like you had a fabulous bond, how lucky she was to have you for all those years.

RIP little pony, i am sat here at work crying my eyes out.

What a fantastic owner you have been, she was very very lucky to have you, you have done your best by her and i am sure she is at Rainbow Bridge now looking down at you with a knowing smile.

I agree with the poster who said about giving a year of your own life to spend one more day, i would give everything to have my old girl back with me for an hour, nevermind a day.

Take care.
