We lost our beloved black Lab yesterday at the grand old age of fifteen. She's been steadily getting more and more elderly and tired recently, but seemed happy in herself; we knew she'd tell us when the time was right. And that time was yesterday.

Rest peacefully, old Chine xx

Oh im so sorry - she looks beautiful.
It hurts so so much but try and remember the good times and the loving home and life she had with you - big hugs and well done for putting her first and not letting her suffer xxx

Oh what a lovely dog. You must miss her. RIP old girl x

Unbelievably. Even when they're old, and you know you've helped them keep their dignity and done the right thing by them, you still feel totally lost without them. We've got her daughter still with us; poor India is really lost today - it was she who first 'told' us that China wasn't right. Lots of love and cuddles for her today, bless her.

CaveCanem - thank you xx

My heart goes out to you.

I am going home with a heavy heart tonight because I have taken the difficult decision to let my 15 year old black lab Sophie go to be with my old GS who I lost 4 years ago. She too has been deteriorating physically, can't control her back end and struggles to move around but sometimes can seem so bright in herself its been an impossibly hard decision. Sounds awful, I wanted her to go herself but I talked to the vet about it three months ago and he said her body would probably go before her spirit did and he was right.

She's being pts tomorrow in her own bed cuddled up to me and then will lie in rest in a pet cemetary with Emmy.

We can comfort ourselves with their memory - wonderful wonderful old girls.

I'm so sorry to hear this, poor you. I currently have a 1 year old black lab sat on my feet so I know what fabulous dogs they are.

I know it's no consolation at the moment but she had a long and happy life with you. I lost my 17 year old goldie in January so I know how you feel. Take care and give your other dog a big hug tonight.

So sorry to hear this, what a lovely old lady she looks. I hope your memories, and her daughter India, are some comfort to you. Thinking of you.
Thoughts to you too Benjamin Brown and your girl for tomorrow.x
