Whilst I don't find them uncomfortable riding, I have been watching some of my xc videos back recently and my morags do not simply waft - they full-on flap, sports bra or no. Does anyone have any recommendation for some serious restraint? I'm not bothered about preserving their shapely form - I'd bind them if it seemed remotely comfortable! I'd just rather my elegant and faultless riding be the focus of attention ;) Ehem...

How big are your morags? I'm a D, and they don't seem to waft anywhere in a decent off the shelf underwire bra! Besides which we're normally forced to wear body protectors, so if your morags waft in one of those you need to see a doctor!

Hahahaha! Yes, my BP is more Bounce Retaining than any bra. (Old style Racesafe)

No body protector, though they do reduce the flap! But, and I am aware how vain this is (but I did say it was an aesthetic issue and not a health one!) - since the BP must fit your widest point, they generally make me look like a brick.

I'd rather 'flippin' eck, look at those norks' to 'why is that horse carrying a breeze block?'.

I tried to buy a racesafe in RideAway and was told by the elderly sales assistant 'THEY'RE ONLY FOR JOCKEYS'. Being unaware of the different types, I cowed under pressure and bought one of those that is basically two slabs of foam, which in fairness do eventually warm up and soften - but still make you look like masonry.

I'm still holding out for that magic sports bra - someone?!

A high-impact sports bra will help. I too am top-heavy (E) and I have a sports bra that I can jump around in and they do not move at all. I'd suggest going to a department store and trying them all on, then jumping around in the changing room until you find one with the desired effect. :D

The only time I notice mine doing the flip flop and fly is during lessons when my trainer makes me do lots of sitting trot! I found sports bras make me look like I have one large mono boob in the middle, so have resorted to wearing one over the top of a sturdy underwired bra - works a treat :-)

I wear two bras when I am going to encounter sitting trot situations .
One normal shaped sports bra then a more ample type one that the slim could wear as a crop top of exercise .
It works well , prevents black eyes but it's uncomfortable when not riding .

The airowear outlyne is very flattering and cut to fit around the bust. There are various fittings and you can easily adjust them to an hourglass figure.

This was a serious failure with me I found it very uncomfortable I bought a other racesafe in the end .

It is but it isn't. It depends how generous we are talking. To get mine shut in, I need a size too big, which means the Velcro tapes don't really pull tight enough to make it flattering.

The Velcro and plastic tabs you thread through isn't the best when dealing with using it as a corset. The Velcro on mine is getting very worn with little use. I like it to ride in (as far as you can like one!), but I think the laces set up of a race safe might be more conducive to longevity and getting a good fit and I would try that next I think.

I have strapped mine down before now (in the long gone days where I still used to compete) these days I'm a happy hacker so get away with a decent sports bra - even after paying £40 for a sweaty betty one there is still some bounce - but not to the stage where people are going to stop and point :)

I've never been able to get a bp to fit properly because my morags aren't in proportion with the rest of me (waist/hips I'm a size 10 but boobs measure up to a size 14) so I always look like a breeze block in a BP.

I really rate the Berlei Running bra - I like underwires and they look fine away from the yard too. I don't jump any more but lots of sitting trot - no black eyes with this scaffolding
Think they've been discontinued so will be stocking up and then replacing with the Berlei High Performance :)

Ooooh good timing - they are on offer

thanks for the nudge, OP ;)

You've still not told us how big they are Floxie! I'm a FF so would be very impressed if they were bigger than that. Freya Active or the Shock Absorber D+ classic range do for mine. They don't budge.

I too have an Outlyne Body protector which I find pretty comfy and not to morag-squishing

Ah see i keep saying I will try and underwired one but never get round to it, obviously have underwire for daily activities!

(you know they are mostly out of stock :p)

I normally ride in either a non-wired ShockAbsorber (one size too small, but it keeps them in place), or a wired Panache. I always wear both sports bra and BP (Airowear Outlyne) when I ride.
