Result of AT Poll

Ref: Amy Tryon and Abuse (alleged) of Le Samurai at Rolex Kentucky 2007

The footage of this incident has been seen by many of the people on the Horse and Hound Forum in the UK where there has been extensive debate of the matter.

As a result of this an on-line poll was set up to assess what sanctions, if any, should be imposed on Amy Tryon by the FEI at the hearing on 25th June in Lausanne.

The poll was set so that the results were invisible until the poll had closed, thus avoiding any possibility of result manipulation. It was also set so that only one vote per person was possible.

A representative response of 250 people came to the following conclusion in regard to Amy Tryon:

37% that Amy Tryon should be banned for life

32% that Amy Tryon should be banned for 5 to 10 years

28% that Amy Tryon should be banned for 1 to 5 years

3% that Amy Tryon should be banned for 0 to 6 months

As you can see there is an overwhelming majority of 97% who feel that she should be banned for in excess of 1 year, with 69% believing that she should be banned for over 5 years.

I would respectfully ask that you take this poll into account in your deliberations on the sanctions to be imposed on Amy Tryon as a result of this incident.

well - It's gone off by email this morning - so we'll see

I view it as a drip drip drip process that if we keep niggling at them in the nicest way between now and 25th June then maybe they won't do a coverup

I'm also going to forward to the ILPH as they have two members on the Welfare committee and that committee should feed into the tribunal it's 'expert opinion'.

that 69% in favour of a ban of over 5 years was a good result and I hope they take account of it as tbh anything less would in my view be a whitewash
