When ever I buy expensive electronic items I generally purchase 5 year supplementary insurance. My two year old cannon D7 recently had to be sent in for a repair to the power board . Dixions insurance states if they cant fix it in 21 days than they will replace the item for a new one.
They had my camera for 21 days the manager from Dixions Stansted who were dealing with the issue for me called me up to say the part had not come in and he was organising for a new camera to be posted out to me. Now thats what I call customer service.

Its a good tip, I dropped my camera once smashed the lens replaced foc now they are giving me a new camera.
I had the same thing with a washer dryer 3 years down the line there was a problem with it could not get the part in time. I ended up with a new and much better machine.
