??Resurfacing Indoor Arena????

Im in the process of improving my indoor arena which is very uneven and needs an awful lot of watering because of dust and consequently gets quite packed. Anyway I was thinking of scraping off the loose surface (approx 1") and leveling up the existing surface, then spreading the 1" and adding 2" of sand (angular washed) and then adding fibre - was wondering what you're views on this are - should I have more sand I am worried about having it deep but am assured the fibre should bind it and keep it stable?

Yeah was toying with rubber but again im hearing mixed reports - as for ringing an arena specialist - they are obviously promoting their own product and also as Im fast running out of money I thought doing it myself may be cheaper!! I think I'll start with the fibre and sand and then probably add rubber when I have a few more pennies!
