Hi,

i have a 23 year young mare ,who unfortunatly whilst out on loan last year suffered a muscle ruture and as loan home never treated correctly ,she hasnt as of YET! made a full recovery and has learnt to get on with life without it as you can hardly notice she is even lame to the untrained eye, but as she is getting on and still very very happy in life and in no discomfort what so ever i am either looking for a retirement home for her or a companion home i have no worries about contributing towards her at all just want her to now enjoy life and you never no fingers crossed she may come sound ...ideally want to keep her in southern regions but will consider anything any ideas guys?

mrsv - honestly - i looked for similar a few years ago and it was impossible to find down south - i looked at a couple and they looked really trampey and were charging top money - but stunning places further up the country - eventually i found somewhere by word of mouth where i could let horse live out on lovely grazing which suited me fine - i would put some notices up locally in feed / tack shops and there may be somewhere private that would take a retired horse but dont necessarily want 'liveries'.
