What would you pay/expect from a retirement livery based on these two examples, anything I have missed please feel free to add!
Option a,
All day turnout, stabled at night in winter.
Adlib hay soaked/ steamed
Hard feed as required
6 weekly foot trim
3 x daily checks when out, to include fly spray/ hoof pick daily
When in daily rug change, feet picked and legs washed
Weekley groom and 3 x yearly 'spruce' to include mane pulling and clipping if required
Option b
24/7 turnout
Adlib hay
Hard feed if required
30 acre field
3 x daily check, 1 to include feet pick/fly spray/ rug take off and check.
Family run yard with people on site at all times, cctv, owner can visit as much or as little as possible, all horses turned out with company and can cater for good or poor doers
Fields poo hoovered weekly
Water troughs cleaned and emptied weekly
