Bought the wrong size bit from robinsons yesterday, do you think I would be able to return it? I needed a 6" not 5.5" !
I thought no as I tried it but my friend said you can if you have cleaned it and it still has tags on? Will ring tomorrow but just wondering anyone has successfully returned one before?

Most of the tack shops near me wont take back happy mouth bits (or similar) wont take back Neue Schule bits/copper/sweet iron bits if there is even a hint of a mark on them but will take back stainless steel ones

I bought a Neue Schule bit this year, I had paid the extra £5 for the 'bit hire' promotion that the local saddlers were doing.
The bit comes on cardboard packaging, therefore had to remove this before trying (left the tag on though).

It didn't fit right so took it back and exchanged it for a different size. Because it is soft salox gold metal although only tried it once there were dents in the metal.
they allowed me to exchange for a larger size, needless to say though the same thing happened 3 times... this bit is fantastic but due to the slight curvature of the design you need a size / 1/2 size bigger than normal as the curve shortens the length slightly.

Hope this helps.

Thanks I returned it the next day and they were fine about it ! Didn't have bigger size so I bought elsewhere.. Just in case anyone is wanting to return in future!
