Such a lovely horse and so sad. He was running a blinder and hopefully it was so quick he knew nothing. What an amazing horse he was.

Spelling of name in title is wrong, but I can't change it, sorry.

So sad for all connected to him. He was a splendid horse for many, many years.

Knockara Beau has been retired from that race too. So glad he finished in one piece. He has been a great ambassador for Northern horses.

Six grade 1 wins and £600000 in prize money. Today he started in a handicap with first prize of £14000 and 2nd prize of £4000.

Was so sad that Reve de Sivola has died, confirmed by his trainer on RP that he had a heart attack. So many cliches about him going out doing something he loved etc, but bottom line is that he was clearly loved by his trainer, owner and those who looked after him, and thoughts must go to them on their loss.

Marred an otherwise good days racing - especially with EKW's yard's double with Big River and Forest des Aigles (the week after his real birthday) and the good news that the wonderful old Knockara Beau has been retired - he's been a terrific horse for his connections, and I'm so happy that he's got to 14 years old and retired in one piece.

It was a shame, he was running so well. Although I was only watching the TV I thought it looked like he had a heart attack as he went down as he was being pulled up by his jockey.

I was very sad to hear about it. I remember his amazing battle with Zarkander in the Long Walk, such a gallant, brave horse.

Very sad for all connections.

I'm sure that I wasn't the only one to see the horse collapse, he'd been pulled up and was barely at a trot. I would imagine that his death was effectively instantaneous.

Alec.
