Hello,

Those of you who are using the car reversing cameras as trailer CCTV, could you please help me!

They sound like an affordable option for me, and as I am going to pick up my youngster (weanling) it would be great to see what he is getting up to in the back there! I have travelled my old boy for so many years without any concerns and am now getting nervous at picking the newbie up!

If you are using them could you let me know how you are getting on, which make/ model you have, and how easy it was to install? If there were complications like having to add extra power sockets to the trailer etc it would be handy to know.

Been looking on ebay and confused myself!!

I will be installing it in a 2001 Discovery and an older Equitrek

I will be most grateful for any info good or bad!

Thanks YasandCrystal, that looks good apart from having to leave the lights on, but I suppose that's not such a bad thing?

Any more anyone before I bite the bullet and purchase this off ebay?

Hi I have reverse and CCTV on my lorry, bought here at a caravan show - www.drwelectronics.com

The kit with 1 camera was £120 I bought a second camera and upgraded both - superb quality - do not need to leave lights on as they are LED lit if really dark they go into black and white and are still very clear., cost 180 in total. Easy to fit

I have this one installed in my Equitrek and it's fab. Really cheap - really easy to fit (wire to the internal light in trailer which you leave on), fisheye so you see the whole inside of the trailer, wireless and a fraction of the cost of the equine ones! :D

Quite similar to my setup, mine came from Costco few years back, my camera is wired to my trailer interior light power, which comes live when I put my lights on, so I always tow with my sidelights on, which can only be a good thing :)

I like your Ebay one, it looks really nice, if mine breaks I will be looking at yours :)
