Rice Trailer Floors!

I have a Rice trailer which i am doing up (yep, still!)

Does anyone know what type of wood was originally used for the top (side to side) layer of planking?

I want to replace it with the right stuff - would it have been hardwood? I took out the old planks but have no idea how to tell what wood they are.

yes its hardwood and you used to be able to get it from Rice but I'm not sure if they still do it.

Off to source some hardwood tongue and groove. Think it will be expensive!

Rice don't do ally floors ROG, they make them now from special plastic, but they can't be retro fitted as the trailers are now built from the ground up. So it's double skinned plank floor or nothing
