I am about to give up trying to sell my rice trailer as after being inundated with calls and booking 8 viewing so far - not a single person has turned up and only 1 bothered to tell me!

So might just keep it, even though it'll be stood around until april when I might buy a 4x4 after my wedding.

Anyway - going to take the ply off of the ramps as it is going a little soft and put new down. currently they have a brown matting over them with wooden slats. What can I replace the brown matting with?

I used ready made ridged rubber ramp matting but be aware that it does add to the weight.

We replaced our matting with coir doormats lol! It worked really well. Plenty of grip & they are cheap to buy as well, i think we needed about 10 to do our ramp.

I got 3mm ribbed rubber matting from Ebay. You'll need about 3 metres as it's generally 1.2 metres wide so you'll need a thin strip to cover the entire ramp. I haven't bothered, I have about 25cm at the bottom with no rubber but I work on the basis that the horse will step up onto the ramp rather than teetering on the edge. You're looking at about £25 with postage.
