I’m trying to get hold of a Rice Treble to (controversially!) use as an actual horsebox. Getting hold of one is proving tricky as they all seem to be gin bars. I’ve found one in Port Talbot and I think one in Coventry but not sure either are towable and Ive not had a reply to my messages. Does anyone know of any others for sale? I don’t mind a bit of work as the OH and I are pretty handy!

Also, is there a way of distinguishing a treble from photos? I have seen a number listed that could be the treble or a normal Beaufort Popular as I think both have the 3 over 3 panels.
Thanks in advance!

Lovely trailers :).

These are the details of the Treble as new, which may help with your search.

Thanks!
That website is rapidly becoming my go-to for my search! It’s just trying to work out what the difference is between the Popular and the Treble from a photo is quite hard as they do look the same - I think the distance between the ribs is more but difficult to tel without a point of reference. Why oh why do so many people make them into bars? They are such awesome trailers!

I rather regret selling mine but it was snapped up (by a horsey hunting family) so isn’t a gin or bar.

They do come up occasionally, try searching Richardson Rice Supreme Treble.

Used to love mine. Went hunting with both my kids 12.2s and my 14.3. Richardson Supreme treble and I bought it at a bargain price and sold it within a few days when I bought the lorry. Should have kept it really!
