Richard Maxwell, anyone used him

Someone I know uses him a lot. Can't decide if they have a lot of different problems or in over four years of his help (on a fairly regular basis I think) they are still too afraid - for whatever reason - to get on the thing! They are NH bods and not really riders, I guess! Don't think RM is at fault in this case, and the horse would probably be a dream for someone by now

I have not used him personnally, but have seen him in action & friends have used him. No bad reports & he is keen that the owners learn the techniques needed to carry on on their own.

yep - hes fab, used him for loading issues myself, took 6 hours to load my tb, now she pops in a treat. (thats her in the sig)its not a complete fix in one day - you have tp spend 10 days afterwards just walking in and out for 20mins a day then do a small trip - so you have to be prepared to put the work in too. my friend also used him succesfully for loading and another for a horse that had tp be sedated for shoeing. hes expensive but worth it, he has a nice kind manner that horses seem to like and wont feed you any parelli or natural horsemanship bull***t !!!!!

I used his techniques 10 years ago on one of mine who just refused to load. You do have to put the work in, but his methods are excellent. I've never had a problem since. I've also been to his demos - he is very good, speaks a lot of commonsense and is calm and relaxed with the horses.

Friend had him out to a bad loader with excellent results and my Mum has been to his place a couple of times and really likes his methods.
